Allow me to repeat the conversation I heard over lunch today. Picture, if you will, two young Asian professionals, one male, one female. The girl can't be more than 21 or 22. Her voice is similiar to the cheerleader from the latest T-Mobile commercials - high-pitched, fast and non-stop. So, in other words... annoying as hell. Here are a few choice quotes from the girl:
On future plans
"In the next two years, I'll be married. I just know it."
On having kids later in life
"Oh, after 35 that's it. It can't be done.. you are finished."
On careers for women
Him: "Well, once you're married and all content, it'll be harder to focus on moving ahead at work."
Her: "Yeah, but when I'm married, I want to focus all my energy on being a wife. I consider that a full time job. You know, hosting parties, making dinner....that sort of thing."
On gender roles in relationships
Her: "The man should always be older."
Him: "Oh yeah, totally."
Her: "I mean, I want someone who can guide me and teach me stuff."
Final words
"Let's go suit shopping!" *Claps hands*
Me: "SILENT SCREAM!!!!"
